Nepal’s Rastrakavi (national poet) Madhav Prasad Ghimire is no more. He was 101.
Family sources say he breathed his last at around 5:55 pm today.
Ghimire, born in Pustun of Lamjung in western Nepal in September 1919, was the most celebrated living writer of Nepali literature.
Ghimire is known for dozens of poems and songs. Many of his songs are popular as expressions of love for Nepal.
