Provincial governments have been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) from now on.

According to the National Examination Board Office’s, Class X Exam Controller Bishnu Prasad Adhikari, the provinces were granted the authority to hold SEE, previously known as the ‘School Leaving Certificate (SLC)’ exam.

Adhikari further shared that the Education Development Directorate under the Ministry of Social Development will coordinate with the provinces to conduct this exam. He shared that the concerned agencies in the federal capital will send the question papers to the provinces. The provinces will print answer papers and appoint exam centre chiefs.

Earlier, the SEE was conducted by the Office of the Exam Controller Office in Bhaktapur.

The upcoming SEE is being held from Chaitra 10 (March 24, 2019). Around 480,000 students are appearing in the exam this year.
