A minister of the Province 2 government has filed a writ petition against the central government at the Supreme accusing it of interfering into the provincial government’s jurisdiction.
Provincial Physical Infrastructure Minister Jitendra Sonal has claimed two calls for bids related to underground water resource development and Tarai-Madhes irrigation projects interfered in the provincial government’s jurisdiction.
He has demanded that both the calls for tenders be cancelled with a court order claiming both the projects fall under the ambit of the provincial government as per the sixth schedule of the constitution.
Registering the petition on Thursday, the court has scheduled the first hearing of the case on December 11.
