Butwal, September 26

Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut has claimed that provincial governments failed to bring in investments in their projects due to various laws of the federal government. He says the federal rules are not friendly to investors, but complicated.

Speaking at the inaugural of Tilottama Investment Summit in Rupandehi district of Province 5 on Thursday, Raut suggested that the federal government give up its ‘centralised’ mindset in order to make investment-friendly environment across the country.

“There should be unity among local, provincial and federal governments in formulating laws,” he said, appreciating the initiative taken by Tilottama municipality to host such a summit for the first time at the local level.

Earlier, former prime minister and Nepal Communist Party’s Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the event. Province 3 Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel, former finance minister Bishnu Paudel and central leaders of major political parties addressed the event.
