Province 2 announces public holiday for Monday

The Province 2 government on Sunday has announced that there will be a public holiday in eight districts of the province on Monday on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, one of the biggest festivals of Muslims.

Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut issued a message of greetings on the eve of the festival and wished for brotherhood, happiness, peace and prosperity in the country.

Meanwhile, the federal government is yet to make any decision about announcing the public holiday. Whereas the Muslim community has been demanding a national public holiday, Home Ministry’s spokesperson Ram Krishna Subedi says the ministry has not made any decision yet.
