Kathmandu, August 21
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has decided to donate her salary of one month for relief of victims of recent floods and landslides.
The President’s Office says the salary has already been allocated to donate the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Meanwhile, the Office says experts and advisors working for the President will donate the salary of seven days. Likewise, secretaries and personal secretaries will donate the pay of five days, joint-secretaries three days, under-secretaries and section officers two days and assistant level staff have donated the pay of one day.
Earlier, all ministers and lawmakers of different parties had decided to donate their salaries to the flood victims.
