Kathmandu, June 24
President Bidya Devi Bhandari will hold a joint meeting with top leaders of major political parties of the country on Wednesday afternoon, according to the President’s Office.
Top leaders of all political parties represented in the Federal Parliament and all former prime ministers have been invited to the meeting scheduled to be held at 5 pm today.
Sources have not said anything about the agenda of the meeting. However, it has been learned that the president will discuss contemporary political issues with the leaders. The issues might include the government’s Covid-19 response, and the newly emerged dispute about the threshold for naturalised citizenship, among others.
