Splinter Maoist group leader Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ has accused his former comrade in arms and NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ of betraying the people who died for the ‘People’s War.’
Chand, who was speaking at a programme in Kathmandu organised to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the start of the war, said that it was the Nepal Communist Party central that started the war with a goal in mind. “But Prachanda betrayed the martyrs and turned a blind eye towards the sacrifices people made for the war,” he added.
