Indian Airlines rerouted to Varanasi while 2 flights from China suspended due to poor weather

Kathmandu, August 13

International flights have also been affected by poor weather in Nepal.

An Indian Airlines flight flying from New Delhi to Kathmandu has been diverted to Varanasi. The flight will fly to Kathmandu after the weather clears up, said officials at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Similarly, two flights due to fly into Nepal from China have been suspended, informed officials.

Sichuan Airlines and Air China have decided not to fly to Nepal due to the adverse weather.

Flights to Bhutan have also been affected. TIA said that even though the destination airport is not affected, the flight have been affected due to poor weather en route to the airport.

Domestic flights have also been affected due to adverse weather conditions.
