A policeman was injured in an explosion at a police station in Mathiya of Ishnath municipality of Rautahat district in southern Nepal on Tuesday afternoon.
On-duty police constable Ranjit Yadav sustained injuries. He was guarding the sentry post during the incident.
Meanwhile, police arrested an Indian national for his alleged involvement in the case. The suspect has been identified as Chandan Kumar from Bihar of India. Police also confiscated a motorcycle belonging to him.
SP Bhupendra Khatri, chief of the District Police Office, says additional personnel have been sent to the incident site, which is close to the Indian border, for further investigation and response.
