Rautahat, June 4
Two people died in a road accident involving a truck and an electric vehicle in Chandranigahapur, Rautahat.
The deceased have been identified as Dhirendra Thakur, 30, and Bhagiya Devi, 36, both residents of Khairwa, Ramnagar-1 in Sarlahi. They were passengers in the electric vehicle.
The accident occurred in Ward No. 1 of Chandrapur Municipality when a freight truck and an electric vehicle collided head-on.
According to police, the electric vehicle (Bagmati Province registration no. 03–001 J 0452) was heading towards Chandranigahapur from Barhathwa, Sarlahi, when it collided with a truck (Madhesh Province registration no. 03–001 K 8600) coming from the opposite direction.
The Area Police Office in Chandranigahapur reported that two other passengers from the electric vehicle are receiving medical treatment, while others sustained minor injuries.
