Recently launched in Nepal, Poco X3 Pro has become one of the most exciting smartphones in the Xiaomi Poco lineup.

The brand has always been a favourite among the people as it has always succeeded in living up to the expectation with favourable pricing. The X3 Pro is no exception and completely lives up to the expectation that Poco smartphones have been building over the past years. With an exciting price, it brings a lot of handy features to live up to its name.

Poco X3 Pro has a solid build. It has a glass front and a plastic back. The glass front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which is seen in smartphones of higher segments. At the back, the phone has a dual texture design. There is a reflective Chroma strip in the centre and metallic textures on the sides. The phone is also IP53 dust and splash protection-certified. To further assure the durability of the phone, the drop performance has also been increased. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone.

It weighs heavily at 215 grams.

There is a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display on the Poco X3 Pro with a maximum resolution of 1,080*2,400 pixels. The phone also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 240Hz touch sampling rate. This can be great for both video streaming and gaming. The maximum brightness this phone can reach is 450 nits.

Camera

Poco X3 Pro has a quad AI camera setup on the rear. The 48MP main camera is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth and 2MP macro lens. The rear cameras are housed together with an LED flash. The cameras can also record videos in 4K, but only up to 30fps, while it can record 1080p up to 960fps, which will be great for slo-mo video. The camera also features night mode for night photography and supports ultrawide as well. There is also dual-video mode on the camera for recording videos simultaneously from both front and rear cameras.

At the front, there is a 20MP camera for capturing selfies. The front camera also supports night mode and dual video mode. It can record videos in 1080p at 30 fps only.  

Performance and battery life

Poco X3 Pro runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 for POCO on top. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 (7nm). This is the leading 4G flagship chipset for smartphones. The phone also has UFS 3.1 storage. This means the apps and the games will load faster here. This processor should be good enough for gaming at higher frame rates and without lags.

The phone is powered by a 5160mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The phone supports 33W fast charging, which should get the phone full charged in just 59 minutes. It also gets 59 per cent charged at 30 minutes. The battery life is really durable and is excellent for gaming or surfing the internet.

The company claims that a full charge can provide 11 hours of gaming, 18 hours of video playback and 110 hours of music. The phone also has a liquid cool technology 1.0 plus that helps cool the phone down by up to 6 degrees Celcius, allowing the peak performance while heavy gaming. 

Storage, connectivity and other features

Poco X3 Pro comes in two internal storage and two RAM storage options: 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card, but there is no dedicated card slot for external memory. That means you can use only one sim if you want to use the external memory.

The phone supports dual sims as well as dual-band Wi-Fi. Other connectivity options include USB Type-C cable and Bluetooth 5.0. The phone is also NFC enabled, supports FM and has a recording option. For audio connectivity, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone has dual hi-res speakers that provide an immersive audio experience. There is also an IR blaster on the phone.

The price of Poco X3 Pro is Rs 31,999 for 6/128GB, Rs 34,999 for 8/128GB and Rs 36,999 for 8/256GB variants.

Verdict

There is nothing much to complain about Poco X3 Pro. This is probably the best value for money phone available in the market at the moment.

It features a massive display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 that has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual hi-res speakers and a cooling technology. The phone also features a top-of-the-line processor and a durable battery backup with a fast-charging option. Poco X3 Pro can be really exciting for intense gaming and for multi-tasking as well. It offers massive internal storage as well.

If you have a smart TV, the phone can be used as a remote as well. The cameras are also decent on the phone.

A few might feel the phone is a little bulky in design. Except for this, there is nothing to complain about on the phone. Poco X3 Pro has delivered everything a flagship killer phone would which makes it the best phone in this price segment.
