Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has proposed establishing direct air flights with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He put forward the proposal during a bilateral meeting with President Putin on Monday evening at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Tianjin.

Similarly, discussions were also held on increasing the number of scholarships available to Nepali students in Russia, according to the source.

The two leaders held a one-on-one meeting for about 25 minutes, followed by a broader discussion with the government delegation for about 45 minutes.
