PM Oli ill, key party meeting postponed

Kathmandu, August 15

A key meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party which was to name the office bearers of the various wings and departments of the NCP, has been postponed until Friday owing to PM Oli’s I’ll health.

The meeting of the party secretariat, which was to be held in Baluwatar, was put off after Prime Minister Oli told leader he was suffering from body ache and fever, said co-chairman Prachanda.

The secretariat members then decided to postpone the meeting until Friday. PM Oli returned home on Monday after receiving treatment in Singapore.

After returning from Singapore, Oli tweeted that his health was OK and refrained from talking to mediapersons. He is yet to make public the details of the ailment he was treated for in Singapore.

Oli underwent a kidney transplant few years ago.
