Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says his government will provide Covid-19 vaccines to all of the eligible citizens even if it required the country to get into debt.

Addressing the House of representatives meeting for the first time after getting the vote of confidence earlier this week, Deuba said vaccines would be his top priority for this year.

“Notwithstanding how expensive the vaccines are, the government will buy the vaccines and take them to the people. We will keep our promise even if it needs to get into debt.”

Saying that his term is just one and a half years this time (until early 2023 when the country would go to the next general elections), Deuba said he would leave some visible impacts by then.
