Has your phone ever heated up to an extent where you stop playing PUBG? Has its battery run out so fast that you had to plug it in a power bank? Has the game you play ever lagged? If the answer is yes, it’s time you got a new phone.

Smartphones have come a long way when it comes to gaming. In the past five years, phone companies have started making phones to ensure that it is powerful enough to run mobile games on them. These phones are not only great for gaming, but also for watching videos or streaming shows without the risk of heating up.

Best phones for gaming

If you are considering buying a phone, we have come up with a list of the devices that you can choose from:

1. Iphone 11 Pro Max

Apple’s flagship iPhone11 Pro Max, even though very impressive, is not solely made for gaming. But, if you go through its features, you will see that it is the best phone Apple has produced for gamers. Its A13 Bionic processor is arguably the fastest processor out there and its fantastic 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is sure to enhance your gaming experience.

Its battery life is excellent as well. It comes with a 3969 mAh battery that will easily last you a day. According to Apple, one can watch 19 hours’ worth of videos on a full charge. Impressed?

Though it only has 4 GB RAM, you will realise that it does not make that big difference as the gaming experience is smooth.

2. Samsung  Galaxy Note 10

Challenging Apple when it comes to gaming is Samsung with its Galaxy Note 10. Like the iPhone 11 Pro Max, this is not marketed as a gaming phone. But like the former, it is a high-end smartphone with gaming-specific features and hardware.

Take its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, which, even though is not as good as Apple’s A13 Bionic processor, is more than capable of handling next-gen mobile gaming.

That is not it. What makes it a great gaming phone is that it comes with an 8GB RAM which is sure to enhance the gaming capabilities. What stands out the most with this phone is the way the device cools down. It comes with a vapour chamber cooling system, which helps the CPU and GPU run optimally.

Price: Rs 111,000 – Rs 130,000

3. Nubia Red Magic 3

Even though Nubia has been around for quite a while, its presence in Nepal is limited. While its other phones are not as good as its competitors, the Red Magic 3 is a phone made for gamers who are in a budget range.

The phone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 ensures exceptional performance and smooth functioning. Boasting an 8 GB RAM, the phone is very fast. What makes it stand out is the liquid cooling with an internal fan which is as good as cooling systems found in gaming PCs.

Price: Rs 60,000

4. Huawei Nova 5T

Another good all-round phone is Huawei’s Nova 5T, especially if you consider its price. It has a good camera, a neat exterior and comes with a good display. With an 8 GB RAM, it is quite fast too, which is a big plus for gamers.

It does not have powerful processors that Apple and Samsung products have, but its Kirin 980 is still good enough for graphically demanding games like Asphalt and PUBG.

It has one of the fastest charging phones from that price range, and its industry-leading GPU Turbo 3.0 provides a full-frame gaming experience and reduces latency for slicker gameplay.

The only negative thing about the phone is its 3750mAh battery which does not last as much as other phones on this list. Still, a great option if you are going for a mid-range.

Price: Rs 54,000

Redmi Note 8

If you do not want to fork out so much on a phone but want a gaming device, the Redmi Note 8 is the one for you. Many call it a budget gaming phone, but its features are so good that it can be the ideal gaming phone. For starters, its Mediatek helio G90T processor is great if you play heavy games like PUBG or Asphalt. Another great thing about the phone is its 4500 mAh battery that will easily last you 10 hours even if you play games constantly on a vibrant screen with HDR. Xiaomi says that the phone comes with a Game Turbo feature which it says can boost the phone’s performance. There is an on/off option for times when you are not gaming.

For the price, it also comes with a very good camera and the 6 GB RAM will ensure you have a smooth gaming experience. However, its fast-charging has been a cause for concern for a lot of users. Despite that, the phone is a great value for money; it is a good all-round phone which has something for everyone.

Price: Rs 21,000 – Rs 24,000
