Butwal, January 2
Seven persons died in a road accident at Laguwa, Ribdikot-2 of the Palpa district in Lumbini on Sunday morning.
Eight others have sustained injuries.
The bus (Lu 2 Kha 7279) was heading to Ridi or Ruru Kshetra, a pilgrimage site at the tri-junction of Gulmi, Palpa and Syangja districts, from Butwal of Rupandehi, carrying futural attendants.
The bus fell around 150 metres down the road, killing seven on the spot, informs DSP Mohan Khand of the Lumbini Provincial Traffic Police Office in Butwal.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Mission Hospital, Tansen, Palpa.
The victims are yet to be identified.
