Kathmandu, April 11
One person has died and one has been injured after former King Gyanendra Shah’s car met with an accident with a motorbike in Biratnagar, Morang district of eastern Nepal.
The car (Ba 3 Cha 7962) was returning after dropping Shah at the airport. Armed Police Force constable Dipendra Prasad Lamsal was driving the car.
Police have identified 22-year-old Hem Chaudhary from Birat Chowk, Sundarharaicha of the district as the deceased. He was riding the bike (Ko 15 Pa 9979) when the car hit the two-wheeler.
According to DSP Mahendra Shrestha from District Police Office, 22-year-old Praksh Chaudhary, who was riding pillion, sustained injuries. He has been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The car was used by Shah when he was travelling around eastern Nepal recently.
