Kathmandu, April 23
The Election Commission is likely to postpone the date to file nominations for local level elections after the government decided to hold the polls in two phases.
While the current schedule has set the date for April 29, the government would request the constitutional body to reschedule the date to file nominations for May 2, according to a source.
The government would make a formal request to the Commission tomorrow.
The date for nominations for the second phase polls, scheduled for June 14, will be fixed later.
