Kathmandu, February 20
Nine small leftist parties staged a protest rally in Kathmandu on Thursday. The parties demanded that the government cancel the Millennium Challenge grant agreement signed with the United States government in 2017.
They staged the rally from Maitighar Mandala to Naya Baneshwar and hosted a small meeting there. The demonstrators also demanded that the government take immediate initiatives to reclaim the land allegedly encroached by India.
The demonstrating parties included the parties led by CP Mainali, Chitra Bahadur KC and Mohan Baidya.
