The Nepali Embassy in Seoul has appealed to the Nepalis in South Korea to take necessary precautions to prevent themselves from the novel coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement released by the embassy today, it has advised Nepalis in Korea to stay alert and to seek immediate medical attention if anyone is suspected of the infection.

The Embassy has requested caution from students and workers alike, stressing the situation is yet to be under control even after multiple, continuous efforts.

The statement also mentions an agreement with the South Korean government to not probe or take action against those Nepalis, staying in South Korea without proper papers, who reach the hospitals for a check-up.

The novel coronavirus that outbroke from Wuhan city of Hubei province, China, has also been detected in Seoul and the patients are increasing at a rapid rate lately. Daegu and neighbouring cities in South Korea have seen a surge in coronavirus patients. The number of patients has reached over 400 on Saturday.
