9 Nepalis dead in Russia-Ukraine war so far

Kathmandu, January 3

Two more deaths of Nepalis serving in the Russian army have been confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Amrit Bahadur Rai, Spokesperson of the Ministry, said Bharat Bahadur Shah of Kailali and Raj Kumar Giri of Dhading died in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Hari Prasad Aryal of Syangja was also declared dead on Tuesday.

This has taken the total of Nepalis dying in the Russia-Ukraine war to nine.

Earlier, the deaths of six Nepalis who enlisted in the Russian military force were confirmed.

Sandeep Thapaliya from Gorkha, Rupak Karki from Kapilvastu, Dewan Rai from Pokhara, Pritam Karki from Syangja, Raj Kumar Roka from Dolakha, Gangaraj Moktan, and Kundan Singh Nagal from Ilam died in the war.
