Nepal’s main opposition party the Nepali Congress has objected to the ruling NCP’s move to issue a statement condemning US involvement in the crises in Venezuela.
A meeting of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary party on Sunday decided to object to the statement by NCP chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s statement last week, which has soured Nepal-US relations.
“Prachanda’s public statement against the US is wrong,” the party’s Chief Whip Balkrishna Khad, said after the meeting. “It is unfortunate that Dahal is trying to make the ties sour,” he added.
