Kathmandu, December 25

The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has postponed its central working committee meeting yet again.

Earlier last week, the party had postponed the meeting for Thursday after the differences between two factions led by Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Paudel widened. Now, the party rescheduled the meeting for Friday afternoon.

The two factions are divided over finalising the next general convention schedule, forming party departments and ad hoc committees of sister wings. The Paudel faction had boycotted the meeting demanding that the meeting discuss the convention plan as the number one agenda item.

According to NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, as per the revised schedule, the meeting will begin at 1:00 pm Friday.
