Kathmandu, December 20
After consensus between two factions led by Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel remained elusive, the main opposition party adjourned the ongoing central working committee meeting till Thursday next week, December 26.
The two factions are divided over prioritising the plan for the 14th general convention, forming party departments and ad hoc committees of sister wings. Consequently, the Paudel side has been boycotting the meeting for the past week.
Though the leaders working for the negotiation say that two sides are coming closer, the Paudel faction is not yet ready to join the meeting. Hence, the meeting could not resume yesterday also. The meeting was called for 1 pm today again.
