Nepal Police Club defeat APF in rain-hit match, enter PM’s Cup final

Kathmandu, June 5

The Nepal Police Club secured the final berth of the Prime Minister’s Cup cricket tournament as they defeated the Nepal APF Club in a rain-hit match played at the TU Cricket Stadium in Kathmandu, on Monday.

Result of the game was decided through the Duckworth–Lewis method as the rain forced the game to be restricted to 28 overs.

The APF, which were earlier chasing the target of 253 runs, had been given the target of 173 runs. But, the Cllub captained by Gyanendra Malla scored only 138 runs.

The NPC will face the winner of the second semifinal to be held between Tribhuvan Army Club and the Western Development Region on Tuesday.
