Kathmandu, February 12

In a bid to promote tourist attractions of Nepal among European travel enthusiasts, the Nepali Embassy in Brussels has participated in the 61st edition of Brussels Holiday Fair, the largest tourism event in Belgium.

FISA International had hosted the event from Thursday last week to Sunday.

The event was an excellent opportunity for the visitors to meet with national government and private travel representatives and learn about a wide array of holiday destinations, the Embassy informs in a statement, adding, around 110,000 people visited the fair.

“In the Fair, the Nepali stall had become one of the major attractions to the visitors featuring erection of a Buddha stupa and a pagoda temple, continuous video display with French and Dutch subtitle and well visible slogans at the top,” the statement reads, “The tourism promotional materials including banners, placards, posters and flyers were being displayed and distributed at the stall.”

Likewise, Nepali cultural performances performed by the local Nepali artists became a central attraction in the fair, according to the statement.

The Embassy says it has been regularly attending such events being held in the country.
