Kathmandu, April 3
The Government of Nepal has begun operating special flights from April 3 for three days to rescue Nepali nationals stranded due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
According to the government, Nepal Airlines will operate flights on April 3 (Kathmandu–Dubai), April 4 (Dubai–Kathmandu), and April 5 (Kathmandu–Dammam and Dammam–Kathmandu).

The special flights aim to repatriate Nepalis in the affected regions and assist those unable to return home or reach their destination countries.
A high-level meeting was held on Chaitra 17 involving officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and Nepal Airlines. The meeting discussed the rescue of Nepali citizens in West Asia, easing their movement, and arranging necessary air services.
Following directives from Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, Nepal Airlines decided to operate the special flights for three days. Regular flights to the region have remained suspended since February 28 due to heightened tensions and security concerns in West Asia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the state-owned Rastriya Beema Company has assisted in facilitating necessary insurance arrangements for the flights. The ministry also expressed gratitude to all concerned agencies for their coordination and support in operating the special flights despite the prevailing security situation in the region.
