Kathmandu, November 13
The government is inviting tourism ministers of 40 countries to participate in the inauguration of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai said that the tourism ministers of 40 countries had been invited to participate in the inauguration of the campaign. Minister Bhattarai shared this information at the ‘VNY 2020 Preparation Meet’ organised by the Province 3 Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment in Lalitpur on Tuesday.
“Preparations are being made for the Visit Nepal 2020 and the Visit Nepal Year Secretariat has corresponded with all provincial governments within the country and all diplomatic missions abroad about the campaign,” he said on the occasion. Stating that renowned foreign artists would also participate in the event, the minister called for making a grand inauguration of the Visit Nepal Year 2020 with the active participation of the federal, state and local governments as well as the private sector.
Visit Nepal Year 2020 Campaign will be formally inaugurated on January 1, 2020. Minister Bhattarai shared that the VNY 2020 Inauguration programmes have been set to be organised at Nepal’s all foreign diplomatic missions within the first week of January.
