Kathmandu, April 26
The Development Committee in Parliament has said Nepali government agencies are becoming gradually weaker in implementing own decisions about development projects.
The Committee made the pessimistic conclusion after the agencies failed to implement in its various decisions.
The panel found the status of implementation bleak while reviewing its activities carried out in past one year today.
Meanwhile, the Committee decided to issue needful directives to the government to expedite development works for the interests of the nation and its people.
Likewise, it also decided to monitor national pride projects so as to ensure their timely completion.
The Committee is preparing to regularly draw attention of the government to works being held under major development projects of the nation including the Postal Highway, Nijgadh-Kathmandu Fast Track, North-South Highway and Karnali Highway, the Committee’s chair lawmaker Rabindra Adhikari informed.
