Kathmandu, June 21

The government of Nepal has decided to airlift Nepali security guards killed and injured in the terrorist attack in Afghan capital Kabul.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, said in a tweet that preparations are afoot to fly a plane to Kabul to bring home the dead and the injured.

The government informed that 12 Nepali guards died in the attack on a minibus that was taking them to their work station — the Canadian Embassy in Kabul. But Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior said 14 Nepali nationals died in the attack. Sabre, a British security company, had hired the guards.

The attack has left Nepali nationals working there terrorised.
