Kathmandu, May 29
The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,212.
In his daily press briefing, the ministry’s spokesperson Bikas Devkota informed 170 new cases were reported from various labs of the country since the last update on Thursday.
Here is the province-wise distribution of the infected cases:
Province 1: 157
Province 2: 490
Bagmati: 44
Gandaki: 20
Province 5: 433
Karnali: 47
Sudurpaschim: 21
Of these cases, 206 have achieved recovery, according to the official.
Devktota also confirmed a new death case of a 45-year-old man from Bhumikasthan municipality of Arghakhanchi who died of Covid-19. The man had come from India and died on May 23.
