Nepal Covid-19 tally: 397 new cases, 389 recoveries, 3 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 12

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 911,452 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry said 397 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 9,134 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 355 returned positive. Likewise, 1,932 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 42 tested positive.

Of total tests, 3.88 per cent of the PCR and 2.17 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.58 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,498 active cases across the country. Of them, 553 are hospitalised, 190 in intensive care units and 57 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 389 people have achieved recovery whereas three deaths were been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 797,448 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,469 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 93,695 people were vaccinated today.
