Nepal Covid-19 tally crosses 2,000

Kathmandu, June 2

The Ministry of Health and Population has announced that the country’s Covid-19 tally has crossed 2,000 on Tuesday.

In his daily press briefing this afternoon, the ministry’s spokesperson Bikas Devkota said there are 2,099 cases in the country as of 4:20 pm on Tuesday. The country added 288 cases to the tally since the last update yesterday, according to him.

Of the total cases, 266 people have been discharged after recovery, Devkota informed.

Here is the province-wise distribution of the cases:

  • Province 1: 168
  • Province 2: 816
  • Bagmati: 54
  • Gandaki: 37
  • Province 5: 699
  • Karnali: 252
  • Sudurpaschim: 73

So far, the disease has spread across 61 districts of the country.
