Nepal Covid-19 tally: 9,023 PCR and 173 antigen cases added in 24 hours

Kathmandu, May 7

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 377,603 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 9,023 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 19,987 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 598,405 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, in this period, 495 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 173 were found infected.

As of today, 78,629 cases are active.

In the past 24 hours, 2,905 people have achieved recovery whereas 50 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 295,395 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 3,579 died, according to the ministry.

Over 310 are quarantined across the country.
