Nepal Covid-19 tally: 4,178 PCR and 584 antigen cases in 24 hours, death toll up by 114

Kathmandu, May 31

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 561,302 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry says 4,178 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 15,055 swab samples were tested. So far, 3 million and 57,424 people have been tested in the country.

Likewise, 2,425 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 584 tested positive.

As of today, there are 106,470 active cases across the country

In the past 24 hours, 6,491 people have achieved recovery whereas 114 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s recovery rate is 79.2 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 447,446 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 7,386 died, according to the ministry.

Over 800 are quarantined across the country.
