Nepal Covid-19 tally: 4 new cases, 48 recoveries, 0 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, April 10

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,118,721 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry said four new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 1,800 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned three returned positive. Likewise, 940 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional one tested positive.

Of total tests, 0.16 per cent of the PCR and 0.10 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 0.14 per cent.

As of today, there are 592 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 48 people have achieved recovery whereas the government says there were zero deaths recorded today.

Of the total cases so far, 966,028 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,951 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 98.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.2 per cent.
