Nepal Covid-19 tally: 385 new cases, 258 recoveries, 4 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 22

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 914,718 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry said 385 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 9,921 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 367 returned positive. Likewise, 2,776 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 18 tested positive.

Of total tests, 3.69 per cent of the PCR and 0.64 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.03 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,269 active cases across the country. Of them, 442 are hospitalised, 230 in intensive care units and 55 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 258 people have achieved recovery whereas four deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 800,617 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,500 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 71,483 people were vaccinated today.
