Nepal Covid-19 tally: 306 new cases, 348 recoveries, 6 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 14

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 912,053 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry said 306 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 8,008 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 291 returned positive. Likewise, 1,598 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 15 tested positive.

Of total tests, 3.63 per cent of the PCR and 0.93 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 3.18 per cent.

As of today, there are 7,215 active cases across the country. Of them, 526 are hospitalised, 193 in intensive care units and 57 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 348 people have achieved recovery whereas six deaths were reported.

Of the total cases so far, 798,274 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,477 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, 15,906 people were vaccinated today.
