Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,051 new cases, 3,430 recoveries, 18 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, November 5

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 185,974 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry says 3,051 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1,398 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 13,068 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 507,190 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 36,514 cases are active currently. Among them, 29,574 are in home isolation.

Likewise, 428 are in intensive care units and 74 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 148,408 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,052 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 3,430 people have been discharged whereas 18 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 79.8 per cent.

Of 77 districts of Nepal, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi, Dang, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Manang and Bajura do not have any active case.

Over 1,200 people are quarantined across the country.
