Nepal Covid-19 tally: 274 new cases, 227 recoveries in 24 hours

Kathmandu, July 30

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 19,547 as of Thursday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 274 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. In this period, 6,304 swab samples were tested. So far, 364,648 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 14,248 people have achieved recovery whereas 52 died, according to him. In the past 24 hours, 227 people have been discharged whereas three deaths recorded. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 72.97 per cent.

The other 5,227 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Rautahat, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Mustang, and Manang do not have any active case.

Over 13,200 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
