Nepal Covid-19 tally: 2,225 new cases, 2,846 recoveries, 13 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, October 24

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 155,233 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 2,225 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1,110 are from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 13,846 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 380,862 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 46,057 cases are active currently. Among them, 32,873 are in home isolation. Likewise, 307 are in intensive care units and 70 on ventilators.

Of the total cases so far, 108,334 people have achieved recovery whereas 842 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 2,846 people have been discharged whereas 13 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 69.8 per cent.

Over 3,300 people are quarantined across the country.
