Nepal Covid-19 tally: 21 new cases, 319 recoveries, 0 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,118,466 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry said 21 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 5,152 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 15 returned positive. Likewise, 1,157 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional six tested positive.

Of total tests, 0.29 per cent of the PCR and 0.51 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 0.33 per cent.

As of today, there are 1,254 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 319 people have achieved recovery whereas the government says there were zero deaths recorded today.

Of the total cases so far, 965,142 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,951 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 98.7 per cent and the death rate is 1.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, 103,079 people were vaccinated today.
