Nepal Covid-19 tally: 18 new cases, 271 recoveries, 0 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, March 25

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,118,396 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry said 18 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 2,822 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 12 returned positive. Likewise, 1,520 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional six tested positive.

Of total tests, 0.42 per cent of the PCR and 0.39 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 0.41 per cent.

As of today, there are 1,960 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 271 people have achieved recovery whereas the government says there were zero deaths recorded today.

Of the total cases so far, 9643,398 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,951 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 98.6 per cent and the death rate is 1.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, 64,347 people were vaccinated today.
