Nepal Covid-19 tally: 139 new cases, 626 recoveries in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 18,752 as of Monday afternoon.

In his daily press briefing in Kathmandu, the ministry’s spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam said 139 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the total cases so far, 13,754 people have achieved recovery whereas 48 died, according to him. In the past 24 hours, 626 people have been discharged whereas three died. One of the victims confirmed in the past 24 hours is an Indian national.

Nepal’s current recovery rate is 73.35 per cent.

The other 4,950 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Rautahat, and Kailali have more than 500 active cases each. Panchthar, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Mustang, and Manang do not have any active case.

Over 16,300 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
