Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,351 new cases, 742 recoveries, 4 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 74,745 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,351 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,080 swab samples were tested. So far, 998,407 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 54,640 people have achieved recovery whereas 481 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 742 people have been discharged whereas four deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 73.1 per cent.

The other 19,624 cases are active currently. Of them, 10,929 are in home isolation and 8,695 hospitalised.

Of those hospitalised, 225 are in intensive care units and 31 on ventilators.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Siraha, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 6,300 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
