Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,325 new cases, 966 recoveries, 10 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 64,122 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,325 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 9,584 swab samples were tested. So far 914,290 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 46,233 people have achieved recovery whereas 411 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 966 people have been discharged whereas 10 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 72 per cent.

The other 17,478 cases are active currently. Of them, 9,071 are hospitalised whereas the remaining 8,407 are in home isolation.

Of those hospitalised, 190 are in intensive care units and 36 on ventilators.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Siraha, Sunsari, Makawanpur, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Solukhumbu, Myagdi, Rasuwa, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 7,400 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
