Nepal Covid-19 tally: 1,207 new cases, 1,147 recoveries, 8 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, September 26

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 71,821 as of Saturday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,207 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,019 swab samples were tested. So far, 978,204 people have been tested in the country.

Of the total cases so far, 53,013 people have achieved recovery whereas 467 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 1,147 people have been discharged whereas eight deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is around 73.8 per cent.

The other 18,341 cases are active currently.

The disease has spread across all 77 districts of the country. Of them, Morang, Siraha, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bhaktapur, and Rupandehi have more than 500 active cases each. Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Mugu, and Humla do not have any active cases.

Over 6,300 people are quarantined across the country, waiting to be tested.
