Nepal Covid-19 tally: 97 new cases, 114 recoveries, 3 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, February 19

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 273,263 as of Friday afternoon.

The ministry says 97 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. 34 of these were from the Kathmandu valley.

In this period, 2,931 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 134,261 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 1,583 cases are active.

Of the total cases so far, 269,616 people have achieved recovery whereas 2,061 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 114 people have recovered whereas three deaths were reported. 

As of February 19, 342,388 people have been vaccinated.

Over 50 people are quarantined across the country.
