Nepal-Canada consultation meeting agrees to promote mutual interests

The first meeting of the Nepal-Canada Bilateral Consultation Mechanism held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday has agreed to promote the issues of mutual interests.
The meeting has agreed to intensify discussion in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, immigration, education, climate change and technology transfer in a regular manner.
According to the ministry, the development priorities of the country were presented in the meeting.
On the occasion, the Canadian side expressed readiness to advance economic cooperation with Nepal and assist Nepal in its development efforts.
Recalling the meeting between the prime ministers of two countries on the sidelines of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the meeting has also agreed to have routine consultations at different levels to further consolidate the bilateral relations between Nepal and Canada.
